Technical Recommendations

We do not recommend extended parts extended parts Please do realize drain holes
Make parts possible to hanging Pay attention for „dead" angles and edges - prepare radiuses or holes in the barriers
Avoid deformation Do not weld profiles flatwise

Structure of the material

Structure of the material performs an important role in the procces of hot dip galvanizing (particularly the content of the silicium, phosphorus and sulfur), it can cause unwanted effects that we are not able to avoid - stronger reaction steel with zinc that causes thicker zinc layer, or more layers etc.

We recommend to galvanize the steel 10 and 11 where is the content of the silicium in between 0,12 to 0,30 % and under 0,03 %.

We do not recommend to galvanize steel with the content of the silicium in between 0,03 to 0,12 % (this could cause „Sandelin effect") and with the content above 0,30 %. The reaction can be stronger also because of the higher amount of phosphorus.

Technological holes

It is not possible to realise hot dip galvanizing of concave constructions without technological drain holes because of detonation danger. The amount and size of holes notably affect the quality of surface treatment. There is a table with recommended size and amount below this text.

Proportions of the concave profile in (mm)
The minimal diameter of the hole in mm in case of particular amount of the holes

In case of wrong placed or underestimated amount of holes you will be informed. You can solve the situation by yourself or the holes will be realised by our staff but this will be scored up to your bill.

Unsuitable for HDG

  • colour on the construction
  • extremely oily material
  • in-depth rust
  • slag in weld joints
  • inadequate construction solution
